www.englishbeers.nl was started in 2007 and is a webshop aimed at individuals who like to buy English food and drink products using Euros and not £s sterling. Initially, in Feb 2007, we started selling English beer from the Black Sheep Brewery in Masham, Yorkshire. Then in Mar 2007 we added a selection of beers from the Cropton Brewery also from Yorkshire. In Aug 2007 we added our first range of food products from an award winning farm in North Yorkshire. These are jams, marmalades, curds and chutneys. At the same time we added a range of fruit wines to our drinks selection from the Lyme Bay Winery in Shute near Axminster in Devon to the range of alcoholic drinks available from our website.

Between 29th August - 2nd September 2007 we had our first stall at the Season Fair which is held annually at Heenvliet, near Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

On 13th October 2007 we took our first market stall in Hengelo (Ov), The Netherlands, where you can buy the jams, marmalades, curds and chutneys and other typically English food products. We shall be there every Saturday and although we cannot sell alcoholic drinks from the stand you can place your order for our beers and wines there too, along with Christmas orders for foods such as fresh turkeys or other Christmas items such as Christmas crackers, and we will deliver them free in the Hengelo area.

Black Sheep Brewery

Masham in Yorkshire, England is the home of the Black Sheep Brewery where the famous Black Sheep Ale is brewed, using traditional methods to combine ingredients together and fermenting them to produce a full flavoured beer with a rich fruity aroma and malty taste.

Cropton Brewery

On the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Cropton Brewery has been producing award winning beers for the past seventeen years, the tiny village of Cropton has a brewing tradition that can be traced back to 1613. The brewery produces a range of nine beers and we have eight of them for sale, Two Pints, Monkman's Slaughter, Scoresby Stout, King Billy, Yorkshire Moors, Honey Gold, Uncle Sams and Endeavour. Each beer has been given a name of a location or named after a local story about an event that happened.

Lyme Bay Winery

Lyme Bay Winery make fruit wines and are located near Axminster in Devon.

Sheppy's Cider

Cider has been made by generations of the Sheppy family at Three Bridges Farm, Bradford-on-Tone, near Taunton in Somerset. This is the heart of the area of the Southwest of England where cider has traditionally been made.
